It’s that time of the year again for the Schneider Go Green Global Student Competition. For the 2021 edition, Schneider Go Green, together with AVEVA, is looking for game changing students around the world who are daring to disrupt and to put their skills to the test and push the boundaries of digital transformation in Energy Management. About the Challenge
Schneider Electric believes that energy is a basic human right and is dedicated to furthering mankind through new technologies. As a major player in Energy Management and Industrial Automation, Schneider Electric sees an urgent need for bold ideas that can re-shape a smarter and more sustainable future for both, the industry and the company. To participate, submit your bold idea related to one of our five segments within energy management!
Categories
The competition is open for students interested in solving one of the following categories of challenge:
- Access to Energy: How can we enable universal access to energy in an environmentally sustainable manner?
- Homes of the Future: Can we design and create homes to be smarter, more sustainable and incorporate new technologies?
- Plants of the Future: Can we leverage emerging technologies to produce more using less resources such as energy and water?
- Grids of the Future: How shall the energy grids be modernized to address growing global electricity consumption?
- De[Coding] the Future: What solutions and innovations would companies need to function effectively, and how can AVEVA help?
Awards
- Global Winning Team: Awarded a free trip to one of Schneider Electric’s offices in the following cities: Boston, London, New Delhi, Paris, or Shanghai, with the chance to network with high level management and other experts!. Plus complimentary 1-year subscription to the Coorpacademy platform.
- Global Finalists: Pitch your novel idea in the Virtual Global Finals and win the worldwide challenge!
- Regional Finalists: Receive mentorship from Schneider Electric experts to polish their proposals!
- Women in Energy Award: One all-female team will advance into the Global Finals and compete for the top prize!
- All Participants will be considered for an interview with Schneider Electric’s HR team for potential job opportunities!
Eligibility
Schneider Go Green 2021 competition is open to only two-member teams from anywhere in the world. However, to participate, you must fulfill the following:
- Be a Bachelor’s student (at least on 2nd year) or working on Master’s degree.
- Be studying Business, Computer Sciences, Engineering, Math, Marketing and Innovation.
- Team members must be studying in the same Region for the duration of the competition, and being in the same country is highly preferred.
- In line with the Diversity & Inclusion philosophy, at least one team member must be a woman.
- Be proficient in English as the final pitch will must be presented in English.

- North America: January 31, 2021
- Middle East and Africa: February 15, 2021
- Europe: February 15, 2021
- Greater India: February 19, 2021
- Greater China: March 5, 2021
- Asia Pacific: March 7, 2021
- South America: March 26, 2021
